Summer in Tyrol – Yes, Please!
Welcome to Hotel Edelweiss, nestled in the charming village of Itter. Surrounded by lush green meadows and stunning alpine peaks, this is the perfect place to enjoy summer in Tyrol.
Summer in Tyrol
During the summer, we offer cozy accommodation with a minimum stay of three nights, including a delicious breakfast made with local ingredients. You can explore the wellness area, go hiking and challenge yourself with the elevation gains, or take a refreshing dip in one of the nearby swimming lakes.
In high season, you can also enjoy a swim at the local outdoor pool in the village of Itter, located just across from the hotel. As a guest at Edelweiss, you have free access to the area, which features a solar-heated outdoor pool, a lawn for sunbathing, and plenty of fun activities for children — including a separate kids’ pool with a slide, an adventure playground with a trampoline, swing, and much more.
If you’re into tennis, you can book a match at the neighboring hotel’s court for a small fee — we have balls and rackets available for rent at the hotel.
Our hotel is the perfect starting point for exploring the Wilder Kaiser–Brixental region on foot, by bike, or even by motorcycle.
E-mountain bikes: We offer high-quality e-mountain bikes from Canyon, which make it easy for everyone to join in. The level of motor assistance can be adjusted, so both beginners and experienced riders — young and old — can enjoy the ride. We have bikes in various sizes, and they are available for rent as soon as you check in.
If you prefer to bring your own gear, there’s plenty of secure storage space in the hotel’s locked basement. Golf enthusiasts will also find 18- and 27-hole courses nearby, and the whole family can enjoy the many adventure parks scattered throughout the region.
May to October
From late May to October, the nearby ski lifts are open, offering access to a wealth of alpine activities for all ages. We’re happy to help arrange everything from hiking and mountain biking to climbing, rafting, canyoning, horseback riding, and paragliding.
Summer in Tyrol is also a time to experience Austrian culture up close. Traditional music, brass bands, and dancing are all staples of the Alpine summertime, and every week you can enjoy Tyrolean evenings in the villages. September also brings the spectacular Almabtrieb where cattle, decorated with flowers and bells, descent from the mountain pastures to spend the winter in the villages.
Dog-friendly rooms
We look forward to warmly welcoming both you and your four-legged friend!
Dogs are welcome in selected rooms, and we do our best to ensure that both two- and four-legged guests enjoy a comfortable stay.
We kindly ask that dogs are kept under supervision — both in the room and in shared areas — and not left alone for extended periods.
Out of consideration for other guests, we expect your dog to be calm and not disruptive.
Please also remember to clean up after your dog, both indoors and outdoors, and ensure that it does not cause damage to the room or hotel facilities.
A small fee applies for stays with dogs.
If you have any questions about rules or availability, feel free to contact us by email — we’re happy to help!
