Winter Vibes at Hotel Edelweiss: Skiing, Wellness, and Adventure

In the winter season, we welcome you to Hotel Edelweiss from Saturday to Saturday, with breakfast and dinner included in the price. Perfectly located close to the slopes and with our own terrace, bar, and extensive wellness area, Hotel Edelweiss has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable ski holiday.

Start your day with a refreshing dip in our cold water plunge pool while relishing the crisp mountain air – it’s the perfect energizer for a full day on the slopes!

Ski getaway with direct slope access

Right outside the hotel, the free ski bus stops and takes you to Itter’s new Salvista gondola in just 3 minutes. The gondola holds 10 people and is one of the fastest and easiest ways to reach the mountain heights. You’ll also find ski rental, a ski school with a beginner’s slope, and a cozy restaurant perfect for a well-deserved break.

When you stay with us, you also get a discount at the ski rental — just mention the name of the hotel.
If you’re arriving by car, there’s a large free parking lot at the gondola.
Lift passes can be purchased at all gondolas, and you can also book ski school or advanced lessons if you’re looking for a bit more challenge on the slopes.

Need tips for exploring the vast SkiWelt area? Drop by the hotel bar — Anders, Arthur, and Otto have skied it all and are happy to share their favorite spots and little hidden gems!

300 km of winter hiking trails

For those who want more than just skiing on their vacation, SkiWelt offers a network of over 300 kilometres of winter hiking trails. The village of Itter alone features 20 kilometres of well-maintained paths. Eleven gondolas in the area welcome hikers as well as skiers, so if you’re on foot, a sunny day with lunch at a mountain restaurant is never far away.

If you’re up for more challenges, we also recommend tobogganing, curling, paragliding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, and much more. Just ask us – we’re ready to help arrange everything.

Daytrips

Itter is also an excellent base for exploring Tyrol. The charming villages of Söll, Hopfgarten, Ellmau, and Westendorf are just around the corner, while the larger towns of Wörgl and Kufstein are perfect for shopping and only 10–20 minutes away.

Kitzbühel is just 25 minutes from Itter, and Tyrol’s capital, Innsbruck — with its famous Golden Roof and Olympic ski jump — is less than an hour away.

Day trips to Salzburg and Munich are also highly recommended, offering plenty of year-round attractions.

With us, the atmosphere is relaxed

We want you to feel at home, so feel free to put on your slippers and come down to the bar for a friendly chat, or enjoy a game of cards with your travel companions in the lounge.
Please note that the kitchen is closed on Wednesdays, but you’re more than welcome to order a delicious pizza if you’d prefer to stay in and enjoy the evening at Edelweiss.
