The Dream Has Come True!
For more than two decades, Hotel Edelweiss has been home to the British couple Peter and Alison who moved to Itter some 20 years ago with their two boys to pursue their long-held dream of running a family hotel in the Austrian Alps.
When we started to circulating flyers last year, saying that we were looking for a hotel in the area, Peter and Alison invited us over. They had been considering moving on, and for us it was love at first sight. We immediately fell for the charm of the hotel, and we fell in love with the idea of being able to continue the hotel’s story as a family-run business.
Since then, we’ve been in for quite a ride. We’ve battled through mountains of paperwork, navigated detours, and handled ups and downs. But we’ve also met amazing people who have helped us in so many ways to make our oldest dream come true. And here we are – finally! On September 9, 2024, we are the proud – and quite excited – new owners of Hotel Edelweiss.

We do not serve traditional Austrian cuisine but instead offer exciting dishes full of flavor from around the world.

Our wellness area includes a sauna, infrared cabin, fitness room, yoga facilities, and an outdoor terrace with a cold plunge pool.
Ski Bus Right Outside the Hotel
In just 3 minutes, the ski bus takes you to Itter's new 10-person Salvista gondola, one of the fastest ways to reach the mountain top.
A Sea of Activities All Year Round
The area offers a wealth of activities beyond skiing, and in the summer, you can take a refreshing dip in the local outdoor pool located just across from the hotel.

Home away from home
At Hotel Edelweiss, we offer a range of different rooms and apartments – from cozy single rooms to spacious apartments that can accommodate up to eight people. All our rooms and apartments are decorated in a charming, classic Austrian style, but we’ll be adding more of a Scandinavian vibe as we go along.
