At Hotel Edelweiss, you’ll experience the perfect mountain getaway, no matter the season. Nestled in the heart of the majestic Kitzbühel Alps, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental offers an unforgettable winter experience with world-class skiing. With more than 90 modern lifts, this is one of Austria’s largest and most renowned ski areas.
Location
Our charming hotel is centrally located in the charming village of Itter, perched on a sun-drenched plateau with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel is just three minutes from the ski lifts, which you can easily reach with the free ski bus. During summer, the area offers a wealth of activities, and the local outdoor pool is right across from the hotel – perfect for a refreshing dip.
Groups
Would you like to visit us outside of the peak seasons? We’re happy to open our doors for team building events, professional sport teams and similar large groups. Just get in touch, and we’ll find the right option for you and your group. If you have requests for specific activities, we’re happy to help find the right instructor or guide.
Nice to know
We have plenty of space and a secure garage, so feel free to bring your own sports equipment. However, please note that the hotel dates back to the 1950s when it was originally built as a farmhouse, so we don’t have an elevator or ground-floor rooms. But we’re always here to help as much as we can if you have special needs or requests.
Winter
During the winter season, we take bookings from Saturday to Saturday, and we’ll treat you to both breakfast and dinner included in the price. Our talented chef, Louise, is passionate about good food, with a focus on animal welfare, organic ingredients, and local produce. Rather than traditional Austrian food we offer exciting dishes full of flavor from around the world. You’ll enjoy six dinners with a main course and dessert. Louise takes a well-deserved break on Tuesdays, so that gives you an opportunity to explore the many other options for good food in the area. We’re always happy to help. If you’re a wine lover, you’re in for a treat. Our select wine list, carefully curated by Trine from Vinskabt, features unpretentious wines from producers who put their heart into their work.
Summer
In the summer, you can enjoy a stay with a minimum of three nights, where we’ll provide a delicious and healthy breakfast before you head out on your day’s adventures. While we don’t serve dinner in the summer, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and the hotel’s cold drinks are always available to quench your thirst. We’re currently looking into the opportunity of welcoming dogs during the summer months, so keep an eye on our website for updates.
In the quieter season
